River loans Juan Dadín to Independiente Rivadavia

Buenos Aires, Jan 15 (NA) — River Plate has agreed to loan out Juan Bautista Dadín, the young forward who was not considered for the preseason of the first team. The striker's destination will be Independiente Rivadavia, which is preparing to compete in the Conmebol Libertadores Cup for the first time, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. The Mendoza-based club will take the attacker on a one-year loan, free of charge and with no purchase option, with the intention of him competing for a starting spot with Alex Arce and gaining match experience in the triple competition the team will face in 2026. Dadín, 19, made his First Division debut in 2025 under Gallardo's management and accumulated four official matches with River's jersey, including his debut against Godoy Cruz. However, as the months went by, he lost favor and ended up preseasoning with the Reserve squad, led by Marcelo Escudero, where he showed outstanding numbers.

The choice of Independiente Rivadavia was not a coincidence. The Mendoza club beat Sarmiento de Junín, which had also presented a formal offer, and both River and the player prioritized the chance to play in the Libertadores Cup. With a contract valid until December 2028 and a high buyout clause, the loan appears to be a key opportunity for Dadín to gain continuity and projection in Argentine football.
